Laminate Care & Maintenance

Normal Cleaning

  1. Use a soft cloth to wipe a mild detergent across the surface. rinse with water or a dry cloth.
  2. To clean the edges and seams use a soft toothbrush with mild detergent. Using too much water around the seams can cause the laminate to swell and crack.
  3. The best way to keep laminate counters stain free is to wipe up spills immediately. The longer it sits, the more likely it is to stain. 
  4. Use nail polish remover to get rid of stubborn stains. Make sure to use white cloth or cotton balls.

Things to Avoid

  1. Steel wool and other abrasive scrubbers will permanently scratch the surface of the laminate. Use a soft cloth or a damp sponge. 
  2. Avoid using acidic cleaners like bleach, oven cleaner or tub and tile cleaners.

Solid Surface Care & Maintenance

Normal Cleaning

  1. Use a damp microfiber cloth to wipe it down.
  2. For dirty or stained areas, use mild dish soap and water. Also acceptable are ammonia-based cleaners such as most glass or general purpose cleaners.
  3. Towel dry the surface to prevent water spots.

Removing Difficult Stains

  1. For shiny surfaces use a mildly abrasive, liquid cleaner.
  2. For matte surfaces use with a baking soda and water paste.

Solid Surface Countertop Maintenance

No regular maintenance is required for solid surface.

Quartz Care & Maintenance

Normal Cleaning

To clean your quartz use a damp cloth with or without a mild cleaner.

Things to Avoid

  1. Avoid using oven cleaners, abrasive cleaners, battery acid, paint removers, furniture strippers, metal cleaners or similar products.
  2. Never use abrasive or harsh scrub pads.
  3. Do not apply sealers, penetrants or topical treatments.

Granite Care & Maintenance

Sealant

Granite needs to be sealed every 2-3 years.

Normal Cleaning

  1. Use a damp cloth with a mild cleaner.
  2. Using acidic cleaners will deteriorate your sealant.
